Erin Keaveny

Director of Marketing

Erin grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts. She attended Villanova University where she was a diver on the four-time BIG EAST Championship swimming and diving team. During her time at ‘Nova, Erin served as the president of the BIG EAST Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and developed a strong interest in improving access to mental health resources for her fellow athletes, sharing her own story, and reducing stigma. Erin graduated with a BA in history and political science, receiving the Dr. Richard A. Neville distinguished student awards for her accomplishments academically, athletically, and in service to the university community. She was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, America’s most prestigious academic honor society, and presented her grant-funded senior thesis on women in the early American Republic’s participation in financial markets and the means of power associated with accumulation of wealth at the University of Pennsylvania. That thesis would later be published in the Vanderbilt Historical Review.
After graduation, Erin began an AmeriCorps VISTA service year in the marketing and development office of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro South, coaching high school diving, and running her fashion & lifestyle blog. Since completing her service year she has come on as the Director of Marketing at AFA and is pursuing her Masters in Marketing at the Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University. Erin believes that marketing, in its simplest form, is about reaching out to people and establishing real connections. Through her role at AFA and beyond, she hopes to continue working to change the world one community at a time
